Catherine attended Appalachian State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science and from Elon University School of Law in 2011 with a Juris Doctorate.

Prior to joining Ralston, Benton, Byerley & Moore in 2021, Catherine worked as an insurance adjuster for two large national insurance companies, where she gained valuable insight and experience on the innerworkings of claim handling. Thereafter, Catherine became an insurance defense attorney, where she represented a variety of insurance companies and employers against claims filed against them. In 2016, Catherine switched sides and began representing individuals in personal injury and workers’ compensation claims. Using her experience and insider knowledge, she now works vigorously to ensure each client is receiving all the benefits they are entitled to.

Catherine’s practice primarily focuses on workers’ compensation, personal injury and employment law. She has experience handling a wide variety of personal injury claims including large loss, wrongful death and uninsured and underinsured motorist claims. Additionally, she has extensive experience in taking workers’ compensation claims through the hearing process and appeals before the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Catherine also assists individuals in obtaining unemployment benefits whether that be at the Appeals Level, Board of Review or if seeking a Petition for Judicial Review.

Outside of work, Catherine enjoys spending time with her two children. On the weekends you can find her cheering on her alma mater GO MOUNTAINEERS!
